HALL OF FAME 

CITRUS BELT HALL OF FAME
 

History of Recipients:  2021-2040, 2001-2020, 1976-2000

 

The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to perpetuate the name of past or present members of this association who, through their competitive skills, leadership, or contributions, have enriched the general welfare, spirit, reputation and progress of the game of ten pins.

 

The event this year will be July 27, 2024.  Please save the date.
 

DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO DESERVES THIS RECOGNITION?  THE HALL OF FAME COMMITTEE IS SEEKING NOMINATIONS.
 

HALL OF FAME CATEGORIES AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
 

PERFORMANCE CATEGORY: To be eligible in this category, a past or present member’s bowling accomplishments must have been made as an active bowler for at least 10 years in the Citrus Belt Association.  The Committee would like the following information included in the recommendation letter:

 

Number of seasons with a 200 or above average; participation and standing in Citrus Belt Tournaments; number of 300 games and 800 series.

 

This is a “Citrus Belt” award and the Committee is looking for those individuals who have supported or continue to support this association.
 

MERITORIOUS SERVICE CATEGORY: To be eligible in this category, a past or present member shall have performed meritorious service for the game of bowling and been actively involved in bowling within the Citrus Belt Association. The Committee is looking for league service, working Citrus Belt tournaments, officer
or committee member of the association and any other service that the nominee has performed for the Citrus Belt association.

POSTHUMOUS NOMINATIONS AND AWARDS

Persons no longer living may be nominated for induction into the Hall of Fame. These nominations will be processed along with all other nominations; however, they must include the name and mode of contact of a relative or other individual who would accept the award on behalf of the individual.
 

HOW TO NOMINATE SOMEONE

Any individual or group may submit a nomination for induction into the Hall of Fame. Only those received by April 15, 2024, will be considered for induction for this year at our banquet held no later than July following the annual tournaments. All nominations will be retained for three years and may be considered in subsequent years.

 

Nominations must be submitted in letter form and signed by at least 3 people. The letter should containenough information to justify consideration such as a list of bowling or service accomplishments including dates and locations, copies of pertinent documents and materials to substantiate the information provided.
 

THE COMMITTEE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY NOMINATIONS EXCEPT THOSE WITH COMPLETED WRITTEN INFORMATION.
